Darmstadt Open Extension of Corona Security Measures to "2G Plus"

Submitted by heinrich on

Dear foosball community,

due to the currently worsening Corona situation, we have looked at the Damstadt tournament from all aspects and decided that the tournament can take place, but under stricter conditions.

Since we are very aware of our responsibility hosting such an event at this time, we would like to use several precautions that counteract the risk of infection, in order to make the tournament as safe as possible for everyone. If the numbers in Hessen increase, these measures may become mandatory anyway.

Therefore, the Darmstadt Open will be held in "2G Plus" mode, with additional mask obligation away from the foosball table.

This means that only vaccinated and recovered persons are allowed to participate, who additionally present an official negative rapid test (not older than 24h at the moment of entrance to the hall). This will be checked at the entrance of the hall by the security service. Those who participate on Saturday and Sunday will therefore need two tests. These tests are currently free of charge for German citizens, for others the costs differ depending on where you make the test, but usually are about 20€. We recommend doing the first test on Friday, so it will be valid on Saturday morning; the second test you can do sometime during Saturday at one of the testing stations in Darmstadt.

Below we have listed some links to testing stations near the hotel.

In the hall, away from the foosball table, FFP-2 masks will be mandatory (except when sitting and eating). In addition, we will set up disinfectants (but it wouldn't hurt if everyone had a little disinfectant in their own pockets) to disinfect hands before and after games, bathroom visits, meals etc.

Violation of the rules will lead to immediate disqualification!

Of course we also ask everyone to react responsibly in case of symptoms of illness and to stay at home in that case.

We hope to finally be able to hold the Darmstadt Open (safely) after two postponements.

If there should be any changes or governmental bans to our event, we will keep you up to date on FB and our homepage.

We hope for the best!
